With all the devastating news we have been sharing about pollution and toxicity in our oceans, sea level rise and climate change, we also want to give you resources related to these issues to help you take steps to do something about it. One thing you can do is get involved with local, regional and global organizations working to address these issues. One local NJ organization working to restore the ocean waters off the NJ coast is Clean Ocean Action. From cleanoceanaction.org:
Our goal is to improve the degraded water quality of the marine waters off the New Jersey/New York coast.”
Clean Ocean Action will identify the sources of pollution and mount an attack on each source by using research, public education, and citizen action to convince our public officials to enact and enforce measures which will clean up and protect our ocean.
Clean Ocean Action is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit organization.
Check out their website, like and follow their Facebook and Twitter profiles, and get involved. We need all of us who care about the oceans and waterways to be involved in this fight and work to take steps to protect our waters and lands!
