Phase 2 of the first ever Earthship being built in Puerto Rico wrapped up this weekend, after 10 days over over 60 volunteers from across the island and around the world worked in the sun, rain, heat and humidity of the summer tropics at Tainasoy Apiario in Aguada, Puerto Rico. When this project is complete, there will be 5 Earthship dome huts built around a central courtyard that will be used as a community and eco-educational center. This project highlights the need for recycling and for natural, sustainable and resilient building techniques that are also hurricane resistant.
Check out some news and update videos from Phase 2 of the build, which took place June 20-30, 2018. Want to get involved for Phase 3 of the build, which will happen in January?
